Hi, I’m Jess - founder of a community built to help mums thrive in motherhood.

I’m a mum of three, certified pre and postnatal fitness coach and a former primary school teacher.

Creating a supportive space for mums to connect, move their bodies, and feel like themselves again.

After taking a break from teaching to spend time with my first child, Finn, I began volunteering with Jog Scotland and started a weekly buggy running group. Those early meet-ups highlighted the need for a safe, welcoming space where mums could return to exercise with confidence.

Motivated to make that a reality, I gained my pre and postnatal fitness qualifications and began running circuit-style classes designed for mums—with little ones always welcome. These sessions quickly became about more than just fitness—they fostered community, confidence, and connection.

When the pandemic hit, I took the classes online, discovering how much mums valued flexible, judgement-free wellbeing support they could access from home.

Today, I offer both in-person and online fitness classes

The online offering continues to expand and now goes beyond just the workout videos. It is designed to help mums, and mums to be, feel strong, empowered, and supported—physically, mentally, and emotionally. When it comes to fitness, the focus is not on “bouncing back” or achieving unrealistic body transformations. Instead, it’s about making small, sustainable changes, embracing a positive mindset, and learning how to prioritise your own mental and physical wellbeing—without the guilt.

I understand the juggle, the exhaustion, the mental load—and I’m here to support you through it all.

A few years ago, a sudden health scare changed everything for me. It reminded me how precious life is and just how important it is to find joy in the everyday moments of motherhood. It also shifted my mission: to help other mums release the pressure to be perfect and how important it is to take care of our physical and mental wellbeing.

What makes my approach unique is the combination of my teaching experience, fitness qualifications, and real-life motherhood experience. The Thriving Mum Hub isn’t about striving for perfection — it’s about creating space for real, messy, beautiful motherhood, and supporting each other as we thrive, one small step at a time.

Slowing down doesn’t mean doing less; it means noticing more.

As a mum, I used to feel like I was always rushing — from one task to the next, trying to keep everything and everyone together. Our days, and our weekends, were often jam packed in attempt to make those all important memories. However, I often went to bed wondering exactly what it was that I achieved. Or, worse still, thinking I hadn’t achieved enough.

It wasn’t until I started slowing down that everything began to shift. I realised that my family didn’t need me to be perfect — they needed me to be present. When I took the time to pause — to breathe, to play, to listen without distraction — I noticed how much calmer our home felt (most of the time) . The laughter came more easily, the chaos felt lighter, and I found patience I didn’t know I had. And I certainly started to find joy in the small moments I used to let pass me by.

Slowing down doesn’t mean doing less; it means noticing more. It’s choosing connection over busyness, presence over pressure. It’s in those small, quiet moments — sharing a meal, a walk, or just a deep breath or moment of play together — that family bonds grow strongest.

Now, it’s become my mission to help other families rediscover that same sense of calm and connection. Because when we slow down, we don’t lose momentum — we find meaning.
